How to Dry Brush:
Step 1: Remove clothing and stand in the shower or someplace where you can wash away the dead skin which will accumulate on the floor.
Optional: Spread one drop of essential oil (Living Libation’s Lymph + Tonic is a great oil to use with dry-brushing. Just one drop of this potent oil will do.) on your palm. Rub your dry brush along your palm to coat it with oil.
Step 2: Holding your brush, start at your toes and brush lightly in overlapping long strokes up toward your heart. Brush the front and back of your legs and thighs, repeat on the other leg.
Step 3: Continue brushing your arms, stomach and lower back with light over lapping strokes toward your heart.
Step 4: When you arrive at your upper body (neck, chest, underarms and upper back), be sure to brush down towards your heart instead.
This entire process should take only a few minutes. Do it daily before your shower. Experiment with doing it both morning and night to determine which works best for you. Do it in the morning for more energy.
As the lymphatic system is right underneath your skin, just a light brush touch will do.
How to Clean Your Brush:
Quickly dip the brushes in boiling water and then set them out in the sun for a few hours to dry. Or, every few months, gently clean the brushes with a pure soap and rinse well. Then put them in the sun to dry.
